Gwernaffield and Pantymwyn are two individual villages working together in one Community Council, and linked by one road through both villages.
Gwernaffield and Pantymwyn have different origins, different outlooks and different communities, and yet they complement each other as ‘dormitory’ villages for Mold, (Yr Wyddgrug) the County Town of Flintshire.
Set below the Clwydian Range, and in sight of Moel Famau, the highest point, the villages are the gateway to great walks, fabulous views, and unique flora and fauna of the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
